San Ramon Armed Robbery Suspects Cornered In Oakland

Two armed men assaulted and robbed a third man at the Cobblestone Apartments, 3900 block of Crow Canyon Road, on Tuesday before fleeing in a silver sedan, according to the San Ramon police department.

A department release said the crime took place at approximately 6:49 p.m. with the suspects leaving the area in a 2015 Hyundai Sonata bearing California license plate 7HCL742 – identified through the use of FLOCK technology. Responding officers relayed the vehicle information to surrounding agencies and the Hyundai was subsequently located by officers from the Oakland Police Department, resulting in a vehicle pursuit which ended when the suspect vehicle crashed in the City of Oakland.

Both suspects, subsequently identified as 22-year-old Isiah Burns of San Francisco and 27-year-old Joseph Broussard of Oakland, fled on foot but were apprehended by police. A loaded firearm was located during a search of the suspect vehicle.

Burns and Broussard were booked into Santa Rita Jail by Oakland PD in relation to crimes committed within that city’s jurisdiction. San Ramon detectives responded to Oakland to process the vehicle for further evidence.

There was no immediate word if property stolen during the Cobblestone robbery was recovered.
