Suspected Serial Burglar Arrested – At A Meeting With His Probation Officer

A Pleasanton man suspected of participating in “dozens” of commercial burglaries throughout Contra Costa, Alameda, and Santa Clara counties was arrested when he showed up for a meeting with his probation officer.

Juan Luis Valdez-Luevano, 19, was taken into custody Sept. 16 at the Alameda County Probation Office in Dublin when he arrived for a meeting with his probation officer.

Police from several local jurisdictions executed search warrants for Valdez-Luevano’s vehicle and his Pleasanton residence following his arrest, police maintaining that they recovered evidence linking their suspect to a string of commercial burglaries.

In a statement prepared by San Ramon police, police said they had identified “additional potential suspects” and are working to establish their involvement.
