We don’t charge you for our breaking news alerts, for obituaries, the events calendar, our video news packages. All that is free. But if you want to see independent community journalism succeed in your town, perhaps you’ll consider making a small donation to help us keep the digital presses rolling…

  1. Hi, Isabel… looking them over as we speak sooooo… matter of minutes? Busy day criminally speaking in the 24/680! But we’re on your case, too!

  2. Hey, Sarah… and good afternoon!

We appreciate what you guys do, too, and would love to have you on the calendar. We make it easy. Go Here:

Try to add a nice picture (if you can’t, we’ll help), but the idea is to get folks hosting these events to post them so we can chase burglars and other news stories. It’s free (as long as the event is community oriented) and easy to do as folks from Pier 39 to the Monterrey Aquarium have found out. Nice to hear from you!

  3. I am a Lafayette resident interested in subscribing to your online publication and/or getting news bulletins. How may I accomplish that?

    Thank you,

  4. Good morning, Lori… it would be nice to have you with us! It’s pretty easy to join and follow us, just bookmark this page and follow us on Facebook and Twitter (there are links to those pages at the top of our site, look for the symbols). All long-form stories go on the site and we update throughout the day. “Chattier” stories and some lesser priority neighborhood news is posted through our Facebook and Twitter channels. Both are widely read and used and neighbors “talk” there, too. If you would like Breaking News Alerts sent directly to your phone ($5) you can sign up for the Flash Alerts HERE. And if you would like to make a donation to the site to help keep us going you can do that at the support button on our menu bar. Pretty much it!

  5. Hello, I submitted my event but my flyer was too large of a jpg file. Didn’t think to try a pdf. If I send it to you can you adjust it? I know my son did something one time to a flyer I had but I don’t know how to do it and he is on his honeymoon.
