Our Landmark Mountain Gets Moody – Then Flashes A Hopeful ‘Bo
Mount Diablo went through some moody phases Tuesday afternoon – rolling fog, some light rain, talk of hail – before flashing a hopeful rainbow. Adding to the meteorological happenings was the seismological – with Alamo logging a 2.2 Magnitude ice cube shifter just in time for the cocktail hour. Just keeping things interesting in the…
Fog Pushes Into Our Valleys… On Little Cat Feet
Early risers/walkers out to get their steps in this morning were met by Carl Sandburg’s sound-muffling grey tides, turning the ridge tops into islands in a puffy white sea. Some of us like this micro-climate peculiarity. Others, not so much. We find it comforting.

“Night Owl”
Ever get the feeling you’re being watched? Our photographers were out and about, as usual, when one of them got that feeling you get when you know someone has eyes on you. Walnut Creek Puts Up Defensive Shield As Storm Continues To Batter Residents
Okay, all kidding aside, this is an uncommon double-rainbow sighted by one of our team over the sodden city of Walnut Creek. Apparently there’s more on the way so we may see a white flag go up if things get rough.
Saturday Shapes Up… In Pictures
A normal Saturday shaping up in the News Bunker with the coffee maker pumping out lattes and omelettes floating out of the pan, our team of photographers out and about and chasing news and clouds and things that interest them. Bless ’em all – we like photographers. Highway 24 unraveled a little bit and “the…
