Crews Battle Fires In Walnut Creek And Martinez Friday

Smoky night with small fire in the 2700 block of N. Main St. in Walnut Creek and a larger one (3 acres, 2 Alarms) in the 2700 block of Franklin Canyon Road in Martinez.

Firefighters battled steep terrain as well as flames. The Martinez fire was reported shortly before 10pm.

Crews put down a fire of suspicious origin in Walnut Creek Friday.
