PD Pursuit On SR24/I680 Ends With Arrest In Concord Thursday
Our news sensors started pinging Thursday when we began getting Flash texts from readers passed by a convoy of police cars on Highway 24 and I680 late Thursday night.
Apparently John Law was after a suspect vehicle running hard eastbound on Highway 24 (most assuredly prior to that but that’s when our Flashers started checking in) at speeds estimated in the 100mph range when it took a gentle left and vectored north on I680 – ultimately coming to a halt with multiple PD units behind it at a 76 station at Meadow Lane and Monument Boulevard at approximately 10:38pm (timestamp on our Flash Alert).
Concord Flashers picked up the pursuit baton from their Western peers and filmed as police – guns out and up – surrounded the vehicle of interest and ordered the driver out.
He complied and was taken into custody. We’re not sure of the charges pending against him but we’re asking around. When all was said and done it was another adventurous evening on our local highways.
