Pleasanton Driver Arrested For Vehicular Manslaughter, Suspicion Of DUI After Fatal Crash In San Ramon Saturday

As reported Saturday, a catastrophic high-speed crash at Bollinger Canyon and Crow Canyon claimed the life of a 41-year-old Castro Valley woman and ended with the arrest of a 28-year-old Pleasanton resident whose Tesla Model 3 was reportedly traveling at “missile speed” when it impacted the victim’s Ford Bronco.

The Tesla driver, 28-year-old Badal Dholaria, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence, Dholaria’s vehicle estimated by witnesses to have been traveling at speeds estimated at 100mph prior to impact with the Bronco at approximately 3:23 p.m.

An unnamed driver of the victim vehicle was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, treated, and apparently released.

Dholaria was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence. He is being held on $300,000 bail.
