A pedestrian was struck and killed by a passing pickup truck on Marsh Drive at Sally Ride Drive in Pacheco Tuesday afternoon, the truck’s driver remaining on scene until police arrived.
The collision was reported at 2:29 p.m. with witnesses saying the victim may have been getting out of a parked car at the time they were struck.
Life-saving measures were undertaken but the victim was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
