Walnut Creek Man Killed After Ygnacio Valley Road Crash Friday

A 54-year-old Walnut Creek man who crashed his car on Ygnacio Valley Road was hit and killed by a second car after he stepped out of his car and into the roadway Friday.

The fatality, first reported just after 7 a.m., shut down the intersection of Ygnacio Valley and Oak Grove roads for hours.

Adam Kao died of injuries shortly after the collision. The woman driving the car that struck him stopped at the scene and was reportedly cooperating fully with investigators.

  1. So strangely quiet. It didn’t seem like a fatal crash. Any details on victims? I have friends and co workers there.

    • What this article doesn’t mention is that the man who was hit and killed was naked. I work right down the street and was on my way home from an overnight shift and saw the scene right after it happened. The man was curled into a fetal position and clearly had no clothes on, blood all over his body.

  2. OMG. I knew an Adam Kao from my youth. This has to be him. Name. Age. and I know the circumstances of his life. I’m not entirely surprised, but I am without words and devastated. Now, I can’t sleep, I feel broken. I grew up with him. Since this just happened, it hasn’t hit the social circle. I just called a family friend. We’re 100% sure it was him. Now, I can’t stop crying.
