Fire Damages Home In Walnut Creek Wednesday

Fire burned through the roof and attic spaces of a single-story residence on Pleasant Valley Drive in Walnut Creek on Wednesday, causing substantial damage before it could be brought under control.

The blaze was reported at 12:58 pm with the first crews on scene reporting heavy smoke and fire showing through the roof.

The home’s residents were reportedly away at the time of the fire but the Red Cross is working to secure housing for them. Neither the point of origin or dollar estimate of damage to the structure was available at press time.
