Ready To Move On – But Not To Forgive
Editor;
Last night was genuinely moving for me as — for the first time in a decade — my countrymen and women severed ties with a cruel and corrupt administration and told the nation they wanted something better.
I’m usually for mending fences and allowing old wounds to heal but, in this case, we were confronted by a movement that was not only against everything we as Americans believe in, but sought to deny many of us our constitutional rights, threatening many with prison and murdering others.
In my eyes, that’s not forgivable. In MAGA’s eyes, their vision of America was the only one that counted. Anyone outside their immediate echo chamber was branded a traitor, a wimp, or a libtard meant to be disenfranchised and moved aside.
People with different views, the press, people from foreign countries were threatened and ridiculed, friendships and even families were broken — mine included — and that’s why I can’t forgive them. They do not deserve forgiveness.
Sincerely, with renewed hope for our future,
Vanessa Whitfield/San Ramon

Vanesa,
You are one very misinformed and misguided individual.
The individual in the White House has many flaws, but his
policies are sound. I just hope America wakes up and turns
away the elected socialists in 2028.
