Garage Damaged In Walnut Creek Fire Wednesday

Fire raced through the garage of a home in the 3200 block of Eccleston Avenue in Walnut Creek on Wednesday before firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control.

The fire was reported at 10:17p.m., with crews met by heavy smoke and flame upon arrival. Fears that the blaze had compromised the residence proved unfounded, however, as the damage appeared confined to the garage.

There was no word as to cause.

The occupants of the home evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.
