Major Incident Under Investigation In Crockett Friday
A significant portion of downtown Crockett was sealed off Friday as police investigated the murder-suicide of a local man and his 7-year-old son.
On Saturday, the Sheriff’s Office released the following:
On Friday, June 17, 2022, at about 8:32 PM, Bay Station Deputy Sheriffs were dispatched to a home on the 1200 block of Pomona Street in Crockett for a report of two deceased people inside the residence.
Upon arriving on scene, deputies found the bodies of an adult male and a juvenile male. Both appeared to have been deceased for several hours. They are not being identified at this time.
Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives and crime lab technicians also responded to the location. The investigation is ongoing.

We were afraid of that. So sorry.
I can’t say I’ll ever undertand the need to take ones own life but some people get to bad places in their lives sometimes. But I really don’t understand the thinking to take someone else with you. Hug those closest to you today.
