Fire Reported On Cherry Lane In Walnut Creek Saturday

Fire swept through a field and reportedly some structures in the 2900 block of Cherry Lane in Walnut Creek on Saturday.

The blaze was reported at 4:44p.m. and is still burning as this is written (5:05pm). There were no preliminary indications of injuries or cause though there is word of evacuations underway.

Reports that the primarily affected residence was abandoned at the time it caught fire could not be immediately confirmed.
