Driver Killed In Pleasant Hill Rollover Crash Monday

A 2-car crash on Grayson Road at Taylor Boulevard ended with one person dead and another with minor injuries in Pleasant Hill on Monday.

The rollover crash was reported at 9:42 a.m. with motorists describing a black Kia sedan and a Kia minivan involved with the minivan rolling onto its side, a person on the ground nearby. Police and fire personnel were quickly on scene with witnesses reporting life-saving measures underway.

The most seriously injured motorist was transported to John Muir Hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. The driver of the sedan was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Southbound Taylor Boulevard at Grayson was closed to facilitate police investigation into the crash.

    • Can’t say, of course, Dan – as we don’t make those pronouncements. For now, we’re going with what we reported and hoping for the best.

  1. I lived near this intersection for awhile. If I recall, it’s a fast downhill road coming from Lafayette, where many people try to make the light at Grayson before it changes. The sheriff’s dept used to run radar on that road (it’s an unincorporated stretch). I have not been there in about a year, but if it’s anything like the old days, it’s basically a raceway from Gloria Terrace down to P Hill.
