Fire Claims Outbuildings On Arends Lane Friday

Fire burned through two outbuildings on Arends Lane in Walnut Creek on Thursday, the blaze drawing a swift response from fire crews who shut down Geary Road in both directions to facilitate movement of firefighting apparatus.

The blaze was reported shortly after 10 p.m. and was extinguished in under a half hour.
