Pre-Dawn Pursuit Runs From Lafayette To Pleasant Hill Thursday; Ends In Crash
A Lafayette police officer attempted to stop the driver of a black Nissan Altima early Thursday, falling in behind the driver when she fled onto Pleasant Hill Road at high speed in an attempt to elude the officer.
The short-lived pursuit ended when the Nissan’s driver crashed her vehicle into another at Morello Avenue and Vili Way in Pleasant Hill. She was taken into custody at that time. A medical team was summoned as a precautionary measure.
It was not immediately known what prompted the driver to flee.
