One Dead In Highway 4 Crash In Martinez Saturday

A 26-year-old Richmond woman was ejected and died in a crash on eastbound Highway 4 at the McEwen Road on-ramp in Martinez Saturday.

The California Highway Patrol, Contra Costa Division, said in a post that the crash occurred at about 3:02 p.m. when a 2014 Nissan Maxima left the roadway on the south side of eastbound Highway 4, the driver ejected as the car rolled down the embankment.

The unidentified driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other vehicles or parties were involved.
