Martinez Woman Killed In Head-On Crash Wednesday

A 27-year-old Martinez woman was killed in a two-car, head-on crash in the intersection of Pacheco Blvd. and Arthur Rd. in Martinez early Wednesday.

Tandiwe Myambo was traveling eastbound on Pacheco Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. when her Honda unexpectedly swerved into oncoming westbound traffic, hitting a Dodge pick-up.

Myambo, who attended Diablo Valley College, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

California Highway Patrol officer John Fransen said a Myambo’s silver Civic was traveling eastbound in the mutual turn lane on Pacheco Boulevard near Camino Del Sol without its headlights on when it swerved into the oncoming lane.

A 58-year-old Martinez man in the Dodge complained of pain to his right side after this crash and was examined at the scene by paramedics.
