“You Can’t See Me, I’m Camouflaged!”

Reflective vest. Clipboard. Gardening or construction implement – all as common in Suburbia as kids in soccer togs and bikes left on the front lawn.

In Pleasanton last weekend some locals observed a man in one of those vests trundling a backpack sprayer around the neighborhood – occasionally sawing at a padlock on a nearby trailer with a power saw.

Thinking the behavior odd if not commendable for the man’s multi-tasking, police were summoned and PPD officers determined that the individual was indeed attempting to blend in with some common accoutrements while attempting to burglarize the trailer.

Officers didn’t fall for the disguise and made the arrest, searching the “worker’s” car after taking him into custody. No name provided, no charges mentioned.
