A driver sporting Oregon license plates caught the attention of a passing Walnut Creek police officer Monday and then allegedly sped away when he attempted to pull her over for a traffic infraction, leading to a short chase and ultimately a crash on Atri Court.

The driver allegedly sped through at least one traffic light and took evasive action before crashing into a culvert on Atri at approximately 9:20 a.m. Apparently uninjured, she was quickly taken into custody by police.

  1. Fleeing down a throughfare with “NO OUTLET” signage prominently displayed. Poor decision-making to say the least. Glad to hear there were no reports of injury.

  2. What’s the maximum penalty for poor decision making? With enhancement for panic! Possible Dept of War candidate…
