Possible Kidnapping Reported In Lafayette Friday

Police are investigating a disturbing incident at a Lafayette service station as a possible kidnapping after a man reportedly battered down a restroom door to access a woman he allegedly forced into his car.

The incident was reported at approximately 5:35p.m. Friday at the Shell station on Stanley Boulevard.

A man, described initially as either a Hispanic or lightly complected black male, battered down the bathroom door of the service station and forcibly removed a white woman in her 20s, forcing her to a silver Honda Pilot with no plates and pushing her into the passenger seat after a struggle.

The vehicle was last seen heading east on Stanley Boulevard towards Walnut Creek.

The suspect was additionally described as 6′, 200 pounds wearing an orange construction vest, black sweatpants and blue slip-on shoes.
