Sheriff Investigating Lomas Cantadas Carjacking Wednesday
Contra Costa County deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a report of an armed carjacking in the area of Grizzly Peak Road and Lomas Cantadas in rural Orinda early Wednesday morning.
The incident was reported at approximately 1 a.m., with a motorist telling deputies he was pulled off the road when a sedan parked behind him and four masked male suspects carjacked him. One of the suspects was said to be armed with a handgun of some type.
A sheriff’s department spokesman said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
