Early Morning Fire Damages Mayette Avenue Home Sunday

A fire first reported at the rear of a home in the 1700 block of Mayette Drive in Concord spread quickly and caused extensive damage to the residence before it could be brought under control.

The blaze was first reported at approximately 12:50 a.m. Sunday. The residents of nearby homes were awakened by police and evacuated before the fire was quickly brought under control.

No injuries were reported.
