A crash at Treat Boulevard and Cherry Lane was being listed as a fatal crash Sunday after a motorist injured in the collision is believed to have died later at a local hospital.
The California Highway Patrol invoked its protocol for fatal crashes hours after the collision was reported at 7:52 p.m.
The collision itself was not believed to have caused a life-threatening injury and investigators suspect the unidentified driver died from an unknown medical condition which may have contributed to the crash.
