Police are searching for an early 90s four-door Ford sedan faded black in color with three men aboard. The suspects were described as black males in dark clothing, both armed with handguns, with a white male wearing a cap behind the wheel of the getaway car.

The robbery was reported at 6:22 p.m. as the two men approached their victim while he was near his car, brandishing pistols and robbing him. The victim was not injured during the crime.

The Danville Police Department is asking for anyone with information to contact Sergeant Ron Hoekwater at (925) 314-3704 or rhoekwater@danville.ca.gov.  Tips can also be reported via text message by texting “DANPD” and your tip information to 888-777.

  1. Broad daylight and not close to freeway? Well (enough) planned. Bet they followed him home from work. I guess we need license plate readers at intersection of Dourghty Valley and Crow Canyon, too. Pop! The bubble has burst.

    • Unsure at this stage, Jim, if the victim in this one was “stalked” prior to the crime, which does happen as you no doubt know. Otherwise these guys should apply for work as appraisers with “Antiques Roadshow,” driving by and assessing the value of a wristwatch at a glance requires some skill! Thanks for posting.
