Danville: Library And Community Center Mark 30th Anniversary – Aug. 4

The Town of Danville and Contra Costa County Library will mark the 30th anniversary of the Danville Library and Community Center with a family celebration on Tuesday, August 4, at the Town Green, 400 Front St.

The celebration begins with Storytime at the Danville Library at 11:15 a.m., followed by a free children’s concert featuring Asheba on the Town Green at noon. At 1 p.m., children and families can return to the Library for book-themed crafts and activities.

Since opening in 1996, the Danville Library and Community Center, together with the Town Green, have served as welcoming spaces for residents and visitors of all ages, reflecting the strong sense of community that defines the Town. The complex has become a central gathering place for classes, programs, performances, celebrations, and everyday moments shared with friends and neighbors.

The August 4 celebration gives families an opportunity to recognize this milestone while enjoying the kinds of programs and shared experiences that have made the Library and Community Center important parts of Danville for the past 30 years.
