“Almost a Clean Sweep…”
Taking a moment to do something he absolutely HATES and call attention to one of our crew of lensman – Sean McDonough.
As you can see, Sean fared rather well in recent National Press Photographers Association competition and almost made it a hat trick (congrats to Kent Porter at the Press Democrat).
Many of you have remarked about the quality of Sean’s work in the past and chided us for keeping him subrosa but that’s his choice. Sign of a true pro.
Judges Comments:
“The car rescue image shows that the photojournalist could hustle to the scene and then think thoughtfully and carefully about framing and reporting once on-site; well composed. The Putah image of fires feels eery and captivating. Good way to show the scale of the event. The encampment fire isn’t the strongest overall, but it’s a heck of a storytelling image, still. Love that there’s sense of place and people layered in.“
