Fire Discovered In A Lafayette Insurance Office Monday

Firefighters are investigating the origin of a fire in the Stanley Smith Insurance offices, 3540 Wilkinson Lane in Lafayette this morning.

The blaze was discovered at 5:57 a.m. and police are closing nearby roads as a result in order for fire apparatus to access the blaze.

Contra Costa County Fire Protection District crews gained the upper hand on the blaze a little before 6:30 a.m. and are boarding up the building. Traffic through the area remains restricted.
