Passenger Killed In Clayton Crash Tuesday; Driver Booked On Suspicion Of DUI

Police in Clayton responded to a report of a crash in the 5400 block of Clayton Road Tuesday, arriving to find that a vehicle had crashed into an unoccupied, parked work truck at that location.

Officers rendered aid to the occupants of the car, finding a male passenger deceased and the female driver with minor injuries. The driver, an unidentified 26-year-old Pittsburg woman, was subsequently found to be under the influence of alcohol and was booked into county jail after receiving treatment at a local hospital.

Her passenger, police said, was a 24-year-old Oakland man.

The crash, reported at approximately 9:36 a.m., remains under investigation by Clayton police.

        No — I rolled through after it happened. But the cars were stacked. It wasnt much of a stretch to figure out someone was hurt bad.
