One Dead In I680 Crash In San Ramon Sunday

A portion of San Ramon Valley Blvd. remains closed Sunday morning after a fatal accident involving a big rig and a passenger car.

The crash was reported shortly before 7 a.m. at the southbound I680 offramp to Alcosta Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol. Upon arrival, officers found a big rig had crashed through a section of fencing off the offramp and come to rest facing the wrong way on the boulevard to the south of Pine Valley Road.

Officers found that the driver of the truck was killed in the crash. He was subsequently identified as Ermilo Gonzales Jr., 62, of Gilroy.
