On Wednesday, February 18, at approximately 10:05 a.m., the Pleasanton Police Department responded to reports of gunshots coming from a residence in the 3100 block of Joanne Circle.

Upon arrival, officers made entry into the residence and located two apparent adults with multiple gunshot wounds. Both subjects were pronounced deceased at the scene by LPFD. The identities of the deceased are not being released until next of kin are notified.

On Thursday, police arrested a San Jose man on suspicion of killing the mother and brother of his ex-girlfriend inside the family’s Pleasanton home.

Allen Swadley, 32, is currently being held at Santa Rita Jail without bail, according to information released by Pleasanton police on Friday.

The victims were identified as Pleasanton residents Lori Simonds, 67, and Evan Simonds, 28, – known to many by his middle name, James.
