As we reported last night, fire at the Slow Hand BBQ location on Oak Park Boulevard in Pleasant Hill did extensive damage to the business Sunday night – only to re-kindle and burn again Monday morning.
Several ConFire units are on scene – responding to reports that the fire had started again at 7:12a.m. This time, however, the blaze caused extensive additional damage to the roof and internal spaces of the already charred building.
No injuries have been reported.

Oh no! Great taps and hot links. No, no, no, no!!!
Afraid so…
Is it too early to identify a cause of fire? Good to hear that there were no injuries, and that this local business can reopen sooner
than later. Burnt ends comments should be held in abeyance.
That’s terrible! It was a popular and significant business in PH!!
Very sad for Slow Hand, plus the other businesses in that building have sustained heavy damage.
Right. Folks out there getting a look at things now…
Thanks for the alerts. We didn’t believe you when you said it started again. We should have known better than to doubt you!
Ha! But… yes. ;-}
Keep those flash alerts coming!!!
Slow Hand BBQ has supported College Park sports teams for so many years, hopefully the neighborhood can help them recover from this disaster
There was lso a Toys for Tots-equivalent donation barrel last Xmas season. If and when they reopen, I’m there!
Wonderful barbecue and wonderful family! Huge community supporters. They will come back strong!
Apparently you have a large number of followers in Pleasant Hill- they all forwarded your text alert the night of the fire.
Ha! We do, actually… glad they shared our text alert with you!
