Orinda Laptop Theft Appears To Have Gone Wrong Thursday; Parked Cars Hit By Suspect Vehicle Leaving The Scene

Callers reporting that a suspected laptop theft at the Orinda Starbucks went badly at 1 Camino Sobrante in Orinda this morning, with two suspects in a black Mercedes SUV ramming several parked cars in their haste to leave the scene.

Witnesses said the suspect, a black male with curly hair, allegedly attempted to steal a laptop from someone at that location – ultimately ended up giving the computer back – and then fled the area.

A woman was reportedly seen inside the car, described as an older model ML320, black in color. The occupants and suspects, a black male and female, were further described only as having dreadlocks.

Police are in the area.

It was not immediately known if anyone was injured during the incident.

          Can’t be, unless they held this pair back several years. Plus, from what we have seen, Miramonte kids have all the technology they need!
