Police in Walnut Creek say an alert resident sensed something amiss this morning and spotted the cabin light on in their vehicle.

The light-sleeping resident dialed up police and officers contacted a man identified as Marcus Yingling, determining he was inside the car when he shouldn’t have been.

Police allegedly found the victim’s purse and a replica firearm in Yingling’s car. He was taken into custody and then off to jail.

There was no word on Yingling’s age or hometown.
