Car Misses The Pool, Hits The Building In Concord Wednesday

Residents of the 136-unit Premier Inns at 1581 Concord Avenue scattered Wednesday after a car believed to have been fleeing police entered an interior courtyard, missed the hotel pool and smacked into a building at about 9:25pm.

The unidentified driver reportedly attempted to flee from his damaged car but he was quickly detained by police. Structural engineers assessed the damage and red-tagged at least one unit of the hotel.

No serious injuries were reported.
