Fatal Crash Involving Motorcycle Reported In Concord Friday

One person was killed in a car versus motorcycle crash on southbound SR-242 at Grant Street on Friday, California Highway Patrol officers closing the Grant Street offramp to facilitate their investigation. ]

A collision between a Toyota and a motorcycle of unknown type was reported at 10am at that location with the motorcyclist down.

Police and paramedics responded with witnesses reporting lifesaving measures undertaken at the scene.

A SigAlert was declared southbound on SR-242. We’ll have additional details as we get them.

    I hated when my adult boys rode motorcycles. I understood the freedom factor. . But I was so glad when they stopped. My thoughts are with his loved ones..
