Crews Clear Wreckage Of Big Rig Crash On I-580 In Pleasanton

Flash subscribers who heard it said last night’s crash on westbound I-580 at Foothill/San Ramon Road in Pleasanton “sounded like a bomb went off,” the crash trapping one unfortunate motorist under one of the involved semis and tying up traffic for hours before a fuel spill was cleaned up and debris hauled away. 
Calls about the incident and resultant closure continued to reach our news desk through the night.
The crash was reported at approximately 7:49 Tuesday. California Highway Patrol officers reopened the vital cloverleaf at 11:27am Wednesday.
Miraculously, all injuries sustained in the crash were described as minor in nature.
