Various police agencies combined resources in a widespread search across Walnut Creek Wednesday after a man allegedly burglarized at least one residence, carjacked one car and allegedly stole another – managing to elude police air and ground units for at least an hour before he was caught.
Police later said 23-year-old Sean White of Pittsburg was the man who went on an afternoon crime spree around Walnut Creek on Wednesday, breaking into a garage and threatening an occupant with a hammer, carjacking someone else, then finally stealing a landscaper’s van before being arrested.
White was eventually tased and taken into custody shortly before 3 p.m.
He is suspected of burglarizing a home in the 1400 block of Treat Boulevard, carjacking a Toyota later found abandoned in the city, and taking a white Econoline work truck.
The man is also suspected of allegedly following a woman into her garage on Birch Drive at approximately 1:30 p.m., carrying a hammer and reportedly attempting to take her keys.
Not a good look bro.
What a fine citizen….He really needs a large red “L” tattooed on his forehead.
Glad to see the LEO response was swift and resulted in suspect being arrested. Hopefully none of the victims sustained injury. Everyone stay vigilant.
Methinks someone wanted to go back to jail.
Thanks for those alerts! We almost ran into this on CCB.
Don’t tase me bro!!!!
Looks like he had just come out of the hospital too because he still had the electrode pads on him. A real winner!
He has electrodes on because he was checked out by the paramedics. You can clearly see an ambulance in the picture.
Bingo! You can’t slip anything past our readers…
