Suspect Arrested On Suspicion Of Burglarizing Downtown Walnut Creek Businesses

Walnut Creek Police arrested a 40-year-old San Francisco man in connection with a series of burglaries that took place last month. Jarvis Ferguson is in custody on charges including 2nd degree burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Between July 16 and July 24, seven businesses were burglarized. Six were downtown, and one was on Oak Grove Road. The Walnut Creek Police Department Investigations Bureau worked to identify Ferguson as one of the suspects they believed to be responsible for all of these burglaries.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, WCPD Detectives located Ferguson in the area of the Crossroads Shopping Center in Pleasant Hill. WCPD Detectives and patrol officers arrested Ferguson for a warrant related to the first three burglaries, and for the following charges related to the last four burglaries:
PC 459/460(b) – 2nd Degree Burglary (four counts)
PC 182(a)(1) – Conspiracy to Commit a Crime (three counts)

In total, Ferguson was arrested for seven felony counts of PC 459/460(b) – 2nd Degree Burglary and four felony counts of PC 182(a)(2) – Conspiracy to Commit a Crime. Ferguson was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility and is being held on $220,000 bail.
