Rossmoorians Wake Up To New Water Feature At Their Front Gate Saturday
An unplanned meeting between a Prius and a fire hydrant resulted in a new fountain for the overheated community Saturday, the Prius coming out on top. So to speak.
NEWS24/680 readers have commented in the past that even our accidents our photogenic and we have to agree. This was kinda pretty and more than a little impressive before firefighters (conveniently located in the background of this shot) and EBMUD were able to stanch the flow.
Driver was okay and got his car washed in the process. The crash was reported shortly after 8 a.m.

Gorgeous! Wish they’d left it up for awhile though I’m sure I’m not the only one that wouldn’t have minded cooling off at Rossmoor’s makeshift water park.
We know, right? It was still gushing at 9:30 or so, apparently… we’re getting our swimsuits out.
Some flashing lights and rock music should liven that right up.
