Second Residential Fire Breaks Out In Lafayette Thursday Night

In what is proving to be a busy week for area firefighters, Contra Costa County Fire protection district personnel were called on yet again after a smoky house fire was reported at 20 Camino Court in Lafayette Thursday.

Firefighters battled an earlier blaze on Withers Avenue before they were summoned to Camino Court at 7:50 p.m. Thursday. Occupants of the residence had fled after smoke was observed in the lower floors of the two-story residence.

No injuries were reported but firefighters are expected to remain on scene for some time performing mop op. No estimate of damage or any cause of the blaze has been given.
