One Injured In I680 Crash Thursday

One person was injured in a rear-end collision with a semi truck on southbound I680 in Alamo on Thursday, the crash tying up traffic for more than an hour as the motorist was extricated from his vehicle.

The crash, reported by our Flash system users at 2:55pm, triggered a Sig Alert for southbound I680 and backed traffic up to Walnut Creek as frustrated commuters attempted to dodge the scene and make their way onto area surface streets.

The unidentified motorist was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
