Lil Critter Finds Shelter With Pittsburg Firefighters When The Booming Started Sunday

Photo: Con Fire

We’ve been writing about the impact of noise and explosions on sensitive folks and small creatures unused to the commotion for some time and it was borne out again as the nation and the 24/680 celebrated last night.

When the firefighters of Station 84 in Pittsburg weren’t off responding to the night’s fires they found time to calm a four-legged neighbor who came in search of some quiet time and maybe some of that famous firehouse food.

Friendships were formed but all good things must come to an end and efforts at reuniting the pup with his humans are underway.

I am so happy all turned out well. My two are not afraid of the noise but have have some that were I always crated early so as not to have then frightened. A cover over the crate works well.
