“Morgan Fire” Burning In Clayton
A fast-moving fire at Morgan Territory and Marsh Creek roads in Clayton (Morgan Fire) triggered a rapid response from ground and aerial firefighting units Friday – the blaze quickly eating up about 25 acres and triggering 3-alarms.
On-scene commanders had fixed the burn area at approximately 120 acres but subsequently rolled that estimate back to 50 after a more thorough mapping of the area.
