Concord Police Activity Stirs Public Interest Saturday
Laurie Vega Stephens was kind enough to share this photo snapped during a police action at Monument and Nursery Lane in Concord Saturday night. An accompanying helicopter eventually moved off but it was noisy out there for a bit and our Tip Line began to heat up.
We’re not immediately certain that this response was tied to a similar police turnout at the Veranda a bit later in the evening. Our Flashers report PD, some with long guns, turning out there for an apparent retail theft.
A quick review of official sites and alert systems returned no immediate word on what was happening but interest in our Flash Alert system took off as people on the street began to question what they saw going on in front of them. Remember, we began to strengthen our Flash System when agencies began to cut off access to information people counted on to keep them in the know and it has been growing ever since.
Sometimes, you just have to come up with your own solution to a local problem.
