3.1 “Baby Shaker” Rocks Concord, Sparks Facebook Comment Flurry From Neighbors

USGS

No, we didn’t feel a thing in the News Bunker – thank you veddy much for asking – but plenty of other folks had their seats rumbled when a 3.1 temblor shook parts of the 24/680 like a Jiffy Pop popcorn shaker at 12:11:42pm Friday.

The shaker was a source of some derision by quake-hardened Native Californians but others were interested and sounded off about quake-attuned pets and disinterested children on our Facebook page, which seems to be a hangout for people wanting to jaw about recent seismic activity.

Check it out, thanks for commenting and see you all at the next one!

That 3.1 quake definitely gave us a wake-up call here in Concord! My pets were pacing for an hour afterward, even if the kids didn’t care. Since the article mentioned local businesses and the “Biz Buzz,” I’ve been looking into how some of these newer digital services are being regulated or licensed in our area to ensure they are actually compliant with our standards. For instance, I came across this breakdown of operational transparency and licensing at https://guiadesuperbetbrasil.com and it made me wonder—does our local news team plan on doing a follow-up story on how we can verify the legitimacy and safety of online platforms that are becoming so popular with neighbors lately?
