One person was killed in an apparent chain-reaction crash on eastbound Highway 24 at the Wilder offramp in Orinda Friday, traffic snarling as the California Highway Patrol declared a SigAlert for the area.
Passersby attended the victim, believed to have been ejected from one of as many as three cars involved in the crash.
Our condolences.
With modern airbags and seatbelts, there is no reason for an ejection.

Agreed. I have to refuse to drive the car, until my extended family buckles in, because they just refuse on their own. Sigh.
So many there.
These guys speed ,cut others off and all you can do is wait to catch up to where they crashed! No sense in speeding at 4 in the morning.
Sounds like my driving, of course I went to high performance driving school.

Bob Bondurant School wasn’t it? With those nifty little crash helmets?
