Don’t tell our photographers but while they were out keeping the lid on things and capturing the fisticuffs, pathos, and whimsical nature of life in the 24/680 (The Numbers) – we were nodding off.

Yes, it’s true. The week caught up with us and our cumulative 6.2 hours of slumber proved insufficient as someone crept up behind us while we sat at our keyboard and banged us with the “Go To Sleep Stick.” Holy Cow. Ever wake up wondering where the last few hours of your life has gone? Yes, disconcerting.

Thankfully, The Lenses were keeping their eye on things. Now, time for coffee!

  2. Ughhhhhh. Love the idea of this site. I’ll also admit I check it daily, so thank you. When you go four days without a post, despite action, then come through with a “I’ve been on the beat so hard I haven’t slept vibe.” It hits poorly. Especially to one that really does work a ton, not just for themself, but for nonprofit fundraising too. Total 75-80 hrs a week. IDK. Just don’t understand the “style” here sometimes. I’ve mentioned it before.
    Appreciate you though.

    • Never expected everyone to love, appreciate, respect, get us from the start so we’re okay with that. Much of the “action” you speak of is handled through other platforms on our site, not everything makes it here. Thanks for checking in with us, though.

    • Complaints about free local journalism garnished with humblebrag, finished off with a pro forma “XOXO.” Not a great look.
