One Dead In Del Valle Regional Park Crash Saturday

A 17-year-old male died when their BMW 535i struck a tree near the entrance to Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore Saturday, the vehicle catching fire after impact.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to reports of a solo-vehicle crash involving a driver speeding on Del Valle Road south of Mendenhall Road in unincorporated Livermore at approximately 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

They discovered the sedan had been heavily damaged when it impacted with a tree next to the county road east of Lake Del Valle. The unidentified driver was declared deceased at the scene.
